1. About these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of https://hushsoap.com and any purchase you make from Hush Soap. By placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before purchasing.

Hush Soap is an Australian business based in East Perth, Western Australia. These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia, including the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) as contained in Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).

2. Our products

All products sold by Hush Soap are handmade in small batches using natural ingredients. Because they are handmade, there may be minor variation in colour, scent intensity and surface texture between batches. This is normal and does not constitute a defect.

Product images on our website are representative of a typical batch and may not exactly match the bar you receive.

We reserve the right to discontinue, reformulate or rename any product at any time. If a product you have ordered is unavailable after payment, we will contact you to offer a substitute or a full refund.

3. Placing an order

By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

An order confirmation email is sent once your payment is processed. This constitutes acceptance of your order. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, in which case a full refund will be issued.

4. Pricing and payment

All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. Shipping costs are shown at checkout and are additional to the product price.

We accept payment by credit and debit card via Stripe. Payment is taken at the time of ordering. We do not store payment card details — all payment processing is handled by Stripe in accordance with their security standards.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors. If the correct price of a product is higher than the price displayed, we will contact you before processing the order.

5. Shipping and delivery

We ship to addresses within Australia only. Estimated delivery times are provided as a guide only and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by Australia Post or circumstances outside our control.

Risk in goods passes to you once they have been collected by Australia Post. Title passes to you once payment has been received in full.

6. Returns and refunds

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply in full. Nothing in these terms limits your ACL rights.

Under the ACL, you are entitled to a remedy if a product has a major failure — including if it is significantly different from its description, or if it is not of acceptable quality.

If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, please contact us at hello@hushsoap.com within 14 days of receipt with your order number and a description of the issue. We will arrange a replacement or refund promptly.

Because our products are consumable personal care items, we do not accept returns of opened or used products unless they are faulty. For hygiene reasons, we cannot resell returned bars. If you change your mind about an unopened, undamaged order, please contact us and we will try to assist where we reasonably can.

7. Product use and disclaimers

Our products are cosmetics intended for external use only. They are formulated for cleansing and general skin care. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition.

Patch test new products on a small area of skin before full use, particularly if you have sensitive or reactive skin, known allergies, or a skin condition. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Keep out of reach of children when not in use. Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.

We are not liable for any adverse reactions resulting from failure to follow usage instructions or from allergies to disclosed ingredients.

8. Intellectual property

All content on https://hushsoap.com — including text, images, product names, descriptions and design — is the property of Hush Soap and is protected by Australian and international copyright law.

You may not reproduce, distribute or use any content from this website without our prior written permission, except as permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from your use of our products or website is limited to the purchase price of the product giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty or condition, that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified under the Australian Consumer Law.

10. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our website or placing a new order after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
